I have a single site collection with multiple subsites created from the same site template. I need to provide aggregated view of all lists from all subsites together with reporting capabilities.
We currently use SP 2010 but we are planning to migrate to SP 2013 fairly soon. Is SP 2013 offering any improvement or new features in that area?
I found two solutions that might help with it:

Is this how it should be done? Once aggregated in the SQL server I could use SSRS to analyze it and display back on SharePoint. Is this a correct approach? Any other ideas or suggestions?
