Excel Services Not Refreshing Connection from SharePoint List

Here is the scenario:

We have a SharePoint list we need to show in Excel Services. So we did the following:

1. Export the List to Excel,
2. Opened the "owssr.iqy" in Excel and built the pivot table and the graphs in a new sheet we kept the original sheet that brings the data from SharePoint,
3. We uploaded the Excel to a SharePoint library and opened in in the browser through Excel Services,
4. We added the site and the document library as trusted connection in the Excel Services Service Application,
5. The data shows fine but it not refreshing even when we clicked Refresh Selected Connection or Refresh All Connection.

We had to refresh from the physical document and re-upload to the document library which is not a practical solution.

Any help is appreciated.
