Is there a way in SharePoint 2013 to limit the scope of the UPS Sync so that it does not scan every DC in our forest? If I specify a Domain Controller, it appears to still go out and try to query every DC anyway. I say this because when I goto create a new sync connection, I hit the Query button and when I do a netstat -a, I see that it is attempting connections to different domain controllers.
We have a test environment stood up, and I believe this was set up by someone other than me, and it works fine. Unfortunately, the person who set it up did not leave much in the way of documentation. :-)
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
