External Content Type Permissions help

Hi All,

I'm having trouble understanding external content type permissions.

I have already created an external content type and created the read item and read list operations to a sql table.

The purpose is to just have users view the table through an external list. nothing else. Just read permissions.

I am currently at "set object permissions" on an external content type, in the BCS service application in central administration.

I can add an account/group and give them 4 permission levels.

Edit

Execute

Selectable In Clients

Set Permissions

I have given the sharepoint admin account all the 4 permission levels.

These permissions seem too high for read-only users that I only want to read an external list.

Where do i go to give users read only?

I have used a secure store target application ID to create the connection to the data source.

The administrator is the sharepoint admin account, the members is set to everyone.
