Content query web part posts code instead of formatted text

I am using a content query to pull some announcements from other sites in the collection to the main page of our intranet, however the announcements it brings in show at html instead of just the content of the announcement, like this - "<div class="ExternalClass94D1ABB763B641A1ABDB735A1E380023"><p>test​</p></div>", where test is the body of the announcment.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I'm missing?
