On opening a Word document, using a link to a file located on a SharePoint 2013 library and going to the File (Info) page, the option to “Checkout” is displayed. Once I select “Checkout”, the options to “Check In”/”Discard Checkout” are missing. To Check In the document, or Discard Checkout, I must navigate to the document in SharePoint via the browser.
How do I configure Word to show the “Check In”/”Discard Checkout” commands?
