I need some advice on setting up RBS on sharepoint 2013. But I am using an external provider which is snapmanager for sharepoint 7. Has anyone set this provider up.
So I am looking at the instructions on the microsoft web site for setting up RBS on sharepoint 2013 with a 3rd party provider, but they are not very clear.
For instance do I still need to enable filestream on the sql server. Also it says to download RBS_amd64.msi and not RBS_x64.msi for sharepoint 2013. Once I dowload RBS_amd64.msi, do i need to run it as when I do it seems to be already installed as it asks to modify or remove.
DO i copy the RBS_amd64.msi to a separate location and then run the msiexec command.
Any advise on the steps. Thanks
