Have configured some Information Management Policies
Have a sample policy set up so that when a document of a particular Sharepoint type is added to a library, it should be declared a Record
So the policy is simply "Created Date + 0 days" >> Declare Record. Very simple.
Tried to test by adding a document, but the document is not being Declared a record. Do some Googling and find that two Scheduled Jobs are required. 1) "Information Policy management" 2) "Expiry management"
So I configure these jobs to run every 2 minutes and every 10 minutes, respectively.
Reviewing the jobs in Central Administration > Monitor shows that each of the jobs is definitely being Scheduled.
In other words, both Jobs are listed under "Scheduled Jobs" and the "Next Run" date/time IS being shown correctly and IS updating.
However, the jobs do not appearing to be running at all since 1) No job history is being generated and 2) the Policies are not being applied to documents.
I am seriously despairing of SharePoint
Any ideas for troubleshooting very gratefully received.....
