I want to start my first SharePoint project,am already leading a group of software developers and we use to develop .net application using visual studio 2010 & Sqlerver 2008. Now we are going to start a new project which should be developed using SharePoint –As per the customer requirement- , last week I have read a lot about SharePoint as I did not work on it before , but I have the following questions which I need some support on it:-
- I need to work on the latest version on SharePoint , so I am going to choose version 2012, since version 2013 are still RTM stage, so will going with version 2012 as the latest stable version the right choice?
- I cannot figure what are the required development tools that we need to buy to be able to extend SharePoint ?
- For the license type, how many Client Access License CAL do I need to buy, does it have to do with the number of software developer that are going to work on sharepoint, o r it is related to how many devices or other software which will be connected to the sharepoint ?
