Windows Security Password Prompt on App Server

We have installed SharePoint 2013 on several Windows Server 2008 R2 virtual servers in a three-tier farm for our test environment. We have a condition that occurs and we are not sure why it happens. We are SharePoint newbees.

For our first Application server (I'll call it APP0 here) that created our farm, we are able to connect to our sites that we have created without a password prompt via IE. Somewhere along the way (and we have gone back and tried a fresh installation from scratch with the same results), our APP0 server begins to display a Windows Security prompt if we try to connect to any of our sites (including Central Administration).

Entering in any account in AD (including the Farm Administrator) will result in the prompt reappearing instantly; login will NOT occur. We can still connect normally to any site, including Central Administration via any AD account that has permissions to said sites from all other servers in the farm as well as a Windows 7 client.

Again, APP0 is the first server in our farm and at first, we CAN connect to any site including Central Administration from IE on APP0. Not sure where we went wrong. Will continue to look through the log files, etc. to see if a search yields any clues for us. In the meantime, I thought I'd post here in case someone else has run into the same problem.
