I'm running SBS 2008 and we got a new server box when we changed the name of our organization. The change in organization name needed a change in domain name. It's a relatively small office and we were moving the data drive from the old server to the new one so instead of a migration, i just set up the new server on a new domain and configured it with all the same users and just redid the security on the data, thats all fine. The issue i have is, i need to move the SharePoint data from one server to the other. I've exported it and imported it to the new server, the problem is all the users in the database still have the old domain (i.e. OLD\user instead of NEW\user). the database is there and i can get into it by changing the login credentials when companyweb comes up, but how do i change the users domain? i've tried stsadm -o Adduser, stsadm -o Migrateuser, and a couple others i've found in various forums. Is there a way to change the username domains? or how would be the best way to migrate the data?
