Truncated File Names in Access

I have a msaccess 2010 db with linked MOSS tables, one of which is a library.  For some reason 3 out of 248 files have truncated file names.  e.g. "BP - B01003 - Signalling Power Improvements (TSC II) (SP Supply - Fast Changeover Device Trial) SEB.xls" is being truncated to "BP - B01003 - Signalling Power Improvements (TSC II) (SP Supply - F".

The interesting thing is, the hyperlink still works?

Any ideas what might be causing this?
