Hi, I have couple of questions and opinions what I like to ask.
I have installed SP 13 in my "demo" environment. All servers are 2012.
- User Management
Which cases you should use SharePoint own groups and where AD-groups, is there any difference between them?(manageability point of view). It is worth to choose either SharePoint groups or AD-groups from the start and keep it on the road, what are the advantages and limitations of this?
When user is added (rights) to SharePoint(-site), and get e-mail about that. Can you change the default message?
Is there in SP 13 search-based automated provisioning of users to SharePoint groups, whether it is possible (known as the 2007-version as Audiences, which could be determined such that all users with AD Company attribute "ABC", "abc" audience of staff. Then this could be added rules to target audience content team site home page, which are not reflected in other than above condition to qualifying users) Is there something like that "electronic bulletin board", in which case the same front page could be share/distribute press releases/news letters only to see specific people.
- Site templates
How to limit who is allowed to create a specific site templates based of the sites (example: create a template from the project, personnel who is involved the project, can only create new sites only using this template new sites on a site collection)?
If site template has the document library and there should add a new column, the content of which is one of the metadata, where a change must be made that will update all of the existing site templates?
- Search
Search service defining to site collection/is it possible use same search in multiple site collection? (Search in in one site, results come from multiple sites, can Enterprise Search Center handle this?)
How to optimize / limit, what the search will show search results?
