March CU And Broken User Profile Sync

Hello Everyone,

I currently have a SharePoint RTM server with Project installed on it in a single server.  After installing the March CU (or PU whatever it is) my Forefront Identity Manager Sync Service does not start back up.

I am following this article to install the update:

This is the update I am downloading:

Have also tried:

However, I do have the farm account as local admin and sysadmin in SQL.  What else am I missing.  Everythings is working fine in my SP envirnment before I install this update.  I have to keep reverting back to a snap shot becasue this update seems to break everything for me.

Any suggestions?
