Sharepoint 2013 Lists, Access and LONG TEXT Fields

Hi

Is this a known bug  or "feature" ?

When i changed a list column from 1 line to multi line, and then Opened with Access,
Access would not allow me to edit the field. It says it is read only.
It had changed from SHORT TEXT to LONG Text.

Back in Sharepoint it allows you to edit the column via the Edit Form option.
