i have the responsibility to develop and launch the new team site in our company. I went through a very basic training for SP2010 and got most of my (little) knowledge through "learning by doing".
I intended to create a unique permission for a document library but forgot to stop inheriting permissions which resulted in deleting all user groups available for the site except the "site owner" group.
When viewing "Site Permissions" through "Site Actions" i have only the "site owner" group left which means that none of my colleagues can view the team site anymore. So far everything is still comprehensible to me- i deleted the permission groups and no one except the site owners can view the site.
What really confuses me is that when opening "Site Options" and "People and Groups" i can find all groups i deleted before.
Is it possible to transfer these groups to the Site Permission view again?
