SPD 2013 Workflow Can't Update Managed Metadata Field

Hi all,

I have a simple workflow that compares the values of two lists and updates the second list if there is not a match. The problem is that the fields are Managed Metadata and the error I am getting is this:

RequestorId: f1e246a9-18e6-bc22-0000-000000000000. Details: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the workflow instance. Exception details: System.InvalidCastException: The value 'd/results(0)/MyMMField' cannot be read as type 'String'. 

I am selecting the field with the _0 appended to the end (ex MyMMField and MYMMField_0).

Any ideas?
