i have a question on RBS setup on sharepoint 2013 and shredded storage. We are looking to setup RBS via sql filestream or through external provider, but want to fine tune the settings such as files over 5MB, will be placed on the BLOB storage, but i see if shredded storage is setup this can cause issues, as files over 5MB dont get placed on the RBS because of shredded storage, they would have to be about roughly 8MB to get placed on the blob storage. So i take it we would have to disable shredded storage or fine tune its setting such as shred storage which is over 50 MB or something.
So how does RBS and shredded storage impact each other and is there a best practice on how this can be setup. Is it best to disable shredded storage if you are using RBS.
