Desinger workflows causing issues with Edit item form

We have a user creating some SPD workflows

When they create a SPD workflow,  and add a Collect Data from User activity, it creates a new content type in the Tasks list, and adds the columns to that content type. They did this so when they edit that item in the task list, that column’s value can be edited.

When using the Edit item form, the changes in values are not saving, when using the datsheetview it works fine

We are only having this issue on one farm, it works fine on others
