Assigned To Field in a New Task

Hi, is there anyway I can get the Assigned To field in a new task to auto populate the account of the person who has created the task?

I have a task list were it's rare someone creates a task which will be assigned to someone else, 99% of the time the person creating the task will assign themselve to it.
