I would like to start a discussion on SharePoint 2013 as a Records Management Tool. For as many colleagues as I have working in Records and Information Management, it's a split on opinion whether SharePoint 2013 can act as an enterprises Records Management tool. And for everyone that tells me SP is weaker than the other large players in respect of RM (FileNet, Documentum, OpenText), they fail to give me specific examples of where SP falls short.
My organization has approx 1500 users and approx 2 million records to manage.
I would love to get some feedback from a macro level...."Yes SP 2013 is an excellent RM tool and why"...or "NO SP is an awful RM tool and why"
I will likely have more specific questions once some responses weigh-in.
