Hide Folder content types from document library new menu items for a particular group of users

Hi,

We want to apply security on the folder content types, if a user belongs to owner group then only folder content types should show up under New Document menu option.

I have tried doing it with Javascript but it doesn't work, is there any way to hide the folder content types from a library for a user??
