I have a SharePoint 2013 workflow on a document library that is set to start automatically when an item is created. The workflow starts as soon as you upload the document and before you finish filling out the other required fields for the library, and once you get to the edit item page after you upload the document it will not let you check in the item. The edit dialog does not close when you hit check in or save it just pops up a message at the bottom that says "The file has been modified by 'user' on 03 Jul 2013 17:21:41 -0500.". I don’t seem to have this issue when I create the same workflow using the 2010 workflow engine. Does anyone know how to set the workflow to start after the required fields are filled out and the item is checked in for the first time?
