I have a development and a production environment. I had a site setup in the dev environment, I saved the site as a template(content included) and added it to production. I then created a site using the template and all works fine (workflows, webpart connections, etc). The problem is that when I tried adding a document library or a list (or any other app) I get an error saying

 ULS logs are not very helpful.

I am new to SharePoint so I so not know if I am missing something basic. 

Any kind of help is appreciated!
