SharePoint 2013 Content Search Web Part

I wanted to add a CSWP as a "What's New" web part to the home page of a sharepoint 2013 site. I made a small mistake which is that I used "Created" rather than "LastModifiedTime" as the property filter to get the date of the document. It seemed to work because all the documents were new. However, I noticed the mistake and changed it to use "LastModifiedTime" instead. The query now looks like:

     path:"https://intranet.somewhere.co.uk"  IsDocument:True  LastModifiedTime>{Today-5}

It doesn't work and what it is doing doesn't seem to make any sense at all. I have modified some documents so that they show as having been updated a few minutes ago but they are not found by the list. I removed the "LastModifiedTime" property filter so that all documents were shown and changed Line 2 in the Property Mappings so that it shows LastModifiedTime and the results are bizarre. The dates shown for LastModifiedTime are all weeks and months ago althought the site was only created last week and the documents were all created last Thursday (7th Jan 2013). In the library the Modified column shows the documents as having been modified anything from a few minutes ago to 3 or 4 days but the LastModifiedTime seems to be a random number weeks ago in the CSWP.

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what I have done wrong?

Best wishes.....

Colin Bruce
