Sharepoint Community site - posts ignoring picture margins

I have a strange issue where when we put pictures into a community post and add a margin to images but when the item is posted the margin is gone. It makes for a less than appealing look when the text is right up on the picture.  

Any help would be appreciated. I'm trying to replace another intranet product so I want to make sure everything is perfect when I start to demo the site.
