Demonstration Unit for SharePoint 2013

I would like to setup a demo instance of SharePoint 2013 on a laptop.  In SharePoint 2010, I could do this through a VM on my laptop having 4GB of memory.  However, SP 2013 demands higher configuration.  Is it possible to setup a demo instance of SharePoint 2013 on laptop with basic configuration?  If not, what is minimum configuration and best approach for doing this?
