make sharepoint accessible outside AD

Hello,

We want to make our SharePoint knowledgebase accessible from outside the active directory. It's synchronised with the active directory of my company so that makes sure you can't access it if you're on a different computer or at home or something. How do I make it accessible so they have to login or so. How do I do it?
