progress syntax

Hello,

I'm connecting a progress database through sql to Sharepoint but when I want to display data i need to make a progress query but I have no idea what it looks like, I know it looks in SQL like this : select, from, ... join ..., where, order by.  How is the syntax of a progress query?

i can't seem to find what a normal progress query looks like.
