How to Disable column headers to have the ability to sort on a List View?

So I've seen how to remove column headers from a list view, which worked, but it's not quite what I need. I want to be able to disable the column header from having the option of sorting. I can't hide the column headers, because I need them there, just to disable their ability to sort.
