Help. Trying to deploy webpart. Various problems.

Hi, I am trying to deploy a webpart.

First I created a blank Sharepoint 2010 solution. I can right click and deploy this ok and it ends up in:

Central Administration -> Manage Farm Solutions.

From here you can click deploy again but no idea where it is supposed to end up.

Anyway, then, when I add a webpart within a feature and then try to deploy I get the error:

Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate Features': Feature with Id '91ca9559-d3fb-4225-90f4-9308f22f95e1' is not installed in this farm, and cannot be added to this scope.

Can anyone advise how to get this deployed please?

I think it is because it is a farm solution so you cannot deploy directly from VS.#
