Hello guys, thanks for taking the time to look at my thread.
I am a 3rd year Information Systems student who is hoping to develop my university project using SharePoint, this was something which has been discussed with my supervisors. I am new to SharePoint and in need of help getting started, so hopefully you guys would be kind enough to help me get the ball rolling.
My questions are what do i need in order to develop a site in SharePoint Designer 2010? I also have SharePoint Server 2010 Licensed through Microsoft MSDNAA. I need to be able to access my SharePoint site from home, university and any other location i have access to the internet. Is my best option to pay for cloud hosting? to install Microsoft SQL server 2008 R2 onto then install SharePoint Server 2010 onto there? Also how would i connect my site to run on the cloud server? are there any other alternatives?
Any help, tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
