Hi,
I have been reading a lot of the questions on this forum and have noticed that a bunch of us are newbies. I am also new to the world of Sharepoint. I apologize if this is a simple question, but here goes.
First I am using Sharepoint 2013 Foundation OOTB, I am designing a large intranet site from scratch. I do not have access to the server, farm or Sharepoint Designer (although I hope that Designer will be installed soon).
We are a large company and would like to use the Promoted Links in Tile view as a way to visually link to other subsites in our site collection (ie: other large departments), truly like APP images on a tablet or smart phone. As a test I have added about 8 of these promoted links into the library and saved it. I have added it as a web part to the "Home" page content area of the site. My problem is that the web part doesn't show all of the tiles. I have set this page width to 800 pixels and the height to 1800 pixels just so I know I have plenty of room for all of the tiles to show. What is happening is that I get a single line of tiles and a left/right arrow icon so that I can scroll through them.
Short of having to create several different Promoted Links Libraries (which is crazy) and display them separately on the "Home" page is there an easier way to do this? Or better yet, what am I missing in the Edit Web Part Dialogue menu/box.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Diane
