After upgrade to SP2013, we faced an issue in deleting the attachments from the SharePoint Edit Form. The user is clicking delete then the attachments disappear but when clicked save and return to the list, the attachments is returning back.
There's no log at all. plus this is happening is test and production.
I tried to convert one form to Nintex form then delete the attachment and it worked; the attachment got deleted successfully. but using the default SharePoint form, you cannot delete it. I have to go to SP Designer and delete it which is not useful because not all the users can be a designer and user SP designer. Even the farm administrator can't delete the attachment so it's not a permission issue.
I found this thread here but the issue was with locked attachments, i checked and no lock (Checkout) is there.
Please help
