I need to enable incoming email settings available in SP2016 for document libraries. There is 1 option available in Incoming email settings where it states
Accept e-mail messages from any sender. I have few queries related to this statement.
1. Does it mean user who dont even have permission to the SharePoint webapplication can also send email to the Incoming email address of a document library in that webapplication ? For eg : I have personal email address(ZZZ@gmail.com). Will I be able to send
email to document library ?
2. Will document library accept such incoming emails from any sender? What will the 'ModifiedBy' field show if its an external sender who dont even have permission to webapplication ?
