SharePoint Calendar Filter Question

Hello,

I am trying to insert a filter into my SharePoint 2010 Calendar webpart so I can filter events by group and region. I have already created the columns "Group" and "Region", but do not know how to complete the next step of placing a filter on the toolbar that users can use to filter out their (and others) events. I would need it to be multiple choice, allowing users to see maybe two of five regions, or more than one group. Please let me know how this can be done.
