SharePoint 2013 | Use of LDIF to synchronize user profiles

Hi,

SharePoint 2010 offered facility to import user profiles into SharePoint user profile store using LDIF file. However, there were few issues, please refer to the thread http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointadminprevious/thread/a1706d06-a968-433a-8308-2b79709af03b

I am exploring the use of LDIF for setting SharePoint 2013 environment. Does anyone know if issues with username have been fixed in SharePoint 2013?
