Issue with Custom Permissions - Add Only

I recently wrote a thread that asked a question I was having about add-only permissions (why couldnt users with those permissions see the pages that I was trying to grant access to?). Piggybacking on this, I am trying to grant permissions to users to add items, but not be able to see or open items not added by that users. Unfortunately, the way these permissions are currently set up, users can open the other items that were added not by them. Any reason why this might not be working? Screenshots of permissions below.
