There is a nice feature in the Site Feed (Newsfeed) Web part that allows you to copy a URL to a YouTube video and it automatically replaces it with the video thumbnail, description, and once you click on it it embeds a player and plays the video. It is quite obvious tha the feature uses the OpenGraph headers that YouTube has on its video pages. Our video servicealso has the required headers, but the Web part does not even attempt to retrieve them from our service. Apparently it filters by the video site domain. There was a suggestion in many blogs to add your domain to Site Settings -> HTML Field Security, but it does not make it work. Anybody knows how to enable this for domains other than YouTube?
Just to reiterate, the issue is not wil placing embed code (iframe code) into a Newsfeed post, but rather a page URL.
