Delegate permission to add user to SharePoint group.

Hello,

I want to delegate the helpdesk team the permission to add users to SharePoint group. What permission do I need to give them.

I have tried to create a custom permission on Sharepoint to allow a junior admin to add users to SP group, and it only work after I changed the group owner to his name.  Is there another way to do this?
