New to SharePoint

I am new to this.  Please be gently with me.

I am suppose to be the SharePoint Admin for our company.

We have just installed SharePoint 2013 on Hyper-V machine with Windows Server 2012 R2

A user was unable to open an Excel spreadsheet and after some research, I came across an article that mention having to configure the Excel Service App.

I tried this, but the "It won't take long" screen stayed up forever and eventually gave me an error:

"Sorry, something went wrong.  Request Timed Out"

I grabbed a copy of ULS Viewer and searched for the Correlation ID and found some listings.

I'm not sure what it is telling me.  It seems there is a missing UserIdentifyName in the 2nd line.

I'm sorry, but I really am new to SharePoint and I don't understand what it is telling me.

To make things worse, I deleted the installed "Excel Services Application" by mistake trying to remove one of the ones I was adding.  I'm not sure if this is a show stopper and I will have to re-install SharePoint.  I hope not!

If someone could give me a clue, I'd really appreciate it.

If you need more info, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks so much.

- Paul
