Hide Skydrive and Newsfeed links from published site

Hi,

i'm currently testing my technet Sharepoint 2013 enterprise

i'm using the seattle master page on a "published" site, and i want to hide the skydrive and newsfeed links on top right corner of the site. is there anyway to do this? without creating my own master page? i know how to do it on team sites, but on a published site i can't seem to do it.
