Hi, I'm trying to set up a new 2013 for some tests. It's not the first one that we have here or in customer's sites.
Even if are some days that I'm trying to make user profile working, seems that in this particular case, there is no way to get it works.
My situation is now the classic one, Forefornt Identity Manager Sync (...) is starting in Sps central admin (in services.msc is disabled).
I have no errors in event or in uls.
Before this situation, we had tryed to do the work, at least 20 times, and all the times, we got different results. Some times we are in the present situation, sometimes we have services start and stop after a couple of minutes. Sometimes we had the " .Net SqlClient Data Provider: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: HostId is not registered at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection)" with off course, the three warning of certificates.
The enviroment is simple. One server with 2012, sps2013 server, SQL 2008R2 named istance on another server in the same network. All servers are virtual.
SharePoint is fresh installed, there is nothing on it, no code, no wsp, nothing. We have nothing configured, no web application (except for mysite and one web application created after the install, empty).
SQL has an alias configured on the SharePoint machine. No proxy is used, no proxy exist in our enviroment.
User used for User Profile is a dedicated user. It's local admin, it's sysadmin on SQL (yes, we made it simple). The user that will be use for sync has everything it need in AD. But we are far away to use it, since UPSA is not starting.
Does anybody have ideas?
