Hi,
As far I'm aware, the licensing in Sharepoint 2013 server is done via CALs for users. The server version is always the same (so I take it's always Enterprise?).
How does it apply to features that aren't browser-oriented?
For example, take the Search "Extensible content processing" feature, which is only available with Enterprise CALs, according to this page: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj819267.aspx#bkmk_FeaturesOnPremise
This specific functionality only applies to operations performed under-the-hood (custom processing during indexing).
Can anybody clarify how is this supposed to work? What licenses do I need to buy if I need the feature mentioned above?
