Lookup a field value on another list and update a field on the current list

I have been task with creating a PTO Submission form within SharePoint (PTO is for vacation requests). This PTO form will track PTO requests, alert team members of submissions via emails and assign tasks to team members managers.

To accomplish this I have created 2 lists within SharePoint Online, the first is called PTO Submission and the second is a task list called PTO Tasks. The PTO Submission list is a custom list that will be used by employees to submit PTO requests. The PTO Tasks list is just that a simple task list that will be used by a workflow to assign tasks to managers and track their decision; Approved or Rejected.

I created a workflow associated with the PTO Submission list that sends out emails, creates a new task on the PTO Task list and updates fields. The workflow works perfectly with sending out emails and creating a new task. The part that I am stubbed on is when the workflow looks up a field value on the PTO Task list called Task Outcome and then update a field within the PTO Submission called Managers Approval based on the value of the PTO Task field. Both fields only have 2 options; Approved or Rejected. Once the field Manager Approval within PTO Submission has been updated it will go to 1 or 2 stages based on the outcome. So basically, I am looking up a field from another list and updating a field on the current list based on the other fields value.

Any help would be appreciated.
