New to SharePoint…

We are running SharePoint Foundation 2010 on our server. Our internal intranet homepage is our starting point when we log onto the internet. I have SharePoint Workspace 2010 and SharePoint 2010 installed on my client computer. I'm trying to download/sync to pull in our intranet page into SharePoint Workspace 2010. I have all of the necessary credentials, but every time I try and sync I get an error message telling me that I've not put in the right location.
