Issue with SharePoint 2013 Excel Services Application
I've went through the whole process of deleting Excel Service Application, because when I went to install the Excel Service Application the first time it never installed properly and was miss the Application Proxy. I went through the step and deleted Excel Service Application but somehow it didn't completely delete.
Verify that the user account that is performing this procedure is a member of the Farm Administrators SharePoint group.
On the SharePoint Central Administration website, click Application Management, and then clickManage service applications.
On the Manage Service Applications page, click the row that contains the service application that you want to delete. The ribbon becomes available.
On the ribbon, click Delete.
In the confirmation dialog box, select the check box next to Delete data associated with the Service Applications if you want to delete the service application database. If you want to retain the database, leave this check box cleared.
Click OK to delete the service application, or click Cancel to stop the operation.
Afterward, I try to re-added Excel Service Application back, but then this error message came up.
Sorry, Something went wrong
An object of the type Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPIisWebServiceApplicationPool named "ExcelServiceAppPool" already exists under the parent Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPIsWebServiceSettings nameed "SharePoint Web Services". Rename your object or delete the existing object.
I've tried everything from PowerShell to Trying to delete the pool from IIS Manager. I've also deleted the folder where the file existed c:\Program files\Microsoft Office Servers\15.0\WebServices\Shared\ExcelCalculationServer. I even backup the C:\windows\System32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config and deleted the phantom application pool.
I've then restarted my SharePoint Web Frontend over again and tried to install Excel Service, but the same error appeared.
Anyone is having this issue or know how to resolve it. I've been racking my brain for weeks, now.
