Hello,
I've googled in an attempt to find a solution, but so far without luck, the MSDN Concierge referred my to the forum...
My scenario is as follows, we have a SharePoint 2013 environment running on-premise, login goes through a ForeFront TMG. When logged and finding a Document Library, when we want to browse using the "Open with Explorer", we get a credentials dialog followed by the error message: "Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer."
Clients are Windows 8.1 Enterprise.
IE11 (11.0.9600.17842, Update version 11.0.20)
IE Settings:
- Compatability View:
- - Checkmark in "Display intranet sites in Compatability View".
- - Checkmark in "Use Microsoft compatability lists".
- - The site is NOT listed as a Compatability site.
- IE Options, Security:
- - The site is in Trusted Sites for both HTTP and HTTPS.
WebClient is running, restarting didn't help.
KB2903938 won't install
KB2846960 won't install (didn't expect it to as it is for Win7/IE10)
Have tried a fix from one of the results when issue was googled, setting
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters\basicauthlevel to 2 and restarting WebClient, no luck.
We can use Open in Explorer from a SharePoint online site, so I'm starting to think if this issue is because of the FF TMG server...
Thanks,
/Henning
