Add label to managed metadata term

Hi,

I have a list with a managed metadata columns that i use for abbreviated classification values. i would like to add adescriptive label to each abbreviation so the user could understand them. Saying that, i would like to have the abbreviation only as a value and not both.

Any thoughts?
