I have been waiting for years for an AD upgrade but there is no way it is going to happen here. I am always fearful that it could break by me introducing modern servers to the domain. I had the My Sites partially working but know the automatic my site creation is no longer happening. My main goal is to have aggregated task dashboard. So separate My Site web app. All tasks across all web apps. Search crawls are working.
I read that SP Profile Syncronization is a requirement for My Site, is this true? Or can it be claims authenticated profile, then click About Me and a My Site is generated on the My Site Host?
